Stella's Crabitat

Post by piratetoothgir » Sat Feb 24, 2018 4:03 pm

Hi, thought you might want to see my completed crabitat!
Took me a long time of deciding, and planning to get where I am, but I finished!

Here's some logistics about it, I won't post pictures just yet

We've got a full deluxe built tank, it's a 55 gallon glass tank.
It's equipped with eight inches of PlaySand + EE mixture, very moist.

Each end features a relaxing pool to take a bath, with a private grass curtain.
Both saltwater and freshwater in the pools, separate at each end.

We've got awesome pits for both moss, and shells which are super deep!
Red Coleus vines overlap them, and surround the top of the tank with foliage.

Small vines are clustered here and there, filling in the essential gaps to functionality.

Now, I think I held you off long enough, here's photos!
Please enjoy my build, I am proud to own a tank like this.

Well, am I an official crabber? :D

Wow! What a great tank, and the decoration is really cool too. There is no doubt that your crabs are loving the new setup! :)

That's an awesome tank! It puts my little 20 gallon to shame. It looks so natural. :D

Awesome! I have a hood on top of my tank, and it makes life a lot easier as the heat and humidity stays inside the tank Image

Very nice! Love all the greenery, I definitely need to get more for my tank! I presume there a lid on there so the hermies can't climb up and out, LOL.

There is no lid, but I am using something to cover it for the time being.
Hood comes in a couple days.
