Plants?

Post by Oliviet#1 » Thu Apr 04, 2019 9:25 pm

Does anyone use fake or real plants in their crabitat? I want to use some to let them have more privacy and so they can climb up or to a pit. Please let me know. If you know a link or a store please share also. Thank you!
I have had pets in the past, but my family can’t have any furry or feathered ones due to allergies. I usually try my best to help and currently trying to set up a crabitat. I also try to treat others with Love!❤️

Many people use fake plants. The silk or fabric type don't last long, the crabs pretty much shred them up. Plastic aquarium plants are better. If you look at the photos section, some people have some pretty impressive fake plants!

Me?

Currently have:
- broms
- prayer plants
- peperomia prostrata
- bella palm
- synogonium sp.
- christmas cactus
- ficus pumila var. variegated
- dead java moss
- hoya sp.
- rabbit foot fern
- pothos

Thats about it.

Most people I've heard who have tried live plants, broms, pothos and palms are commonly used. In the past, also had great success with prayer plants...

Is there any particular reason why "dead" Java moss? Was it just left on land for extended period of time?
