Coconut shell in oven to dry

Post by Wendy UK » Thu Sep 12, 2019 3:25 pm

Hi all.

I've just washed a new coconut shell hide for my guys.... Thinking of drying it in the oven... Any thoughts as to temp and time for this?

Thanks Wendy

I am very late to this reply! It’s probably air dry by now Image
But I usually just use the lowest setting on my oven and leave stuff for thirty minutes to a couple of hours. I check for dryness every once in a while.
Although my coconut hide soaks up moisture from my sub, so I’m not sure it needs to be super dry unless you are worried about adding humidity.
