Is he trying to dig, or is he trying to move around? Sunshine used to spin and herself into the ground because she couldn't get traction but wanted to move. How long has it been since his last molt?

I think he's trying to dig. He's got a pretty good sized hole.
His last molt is hard to say. If he was molting then attacked, which I can't confirm there are hardly any of the typical signs, then just in the past few weeks. If not just these past few weeks then sometime in July.

My crab Oswald was buried for almost five months. Last night I dug him up because I knew some thing was wrong. He was trapped down there and was attacked while molting so now he only has his little pincher and two legs except one of those legs is broken in several places. . All I could do was cry, I cried for about an 1 and a half. Sorry to hear about your crabs. I know what your dealing with. I am feeding my crab peanut butter and honey for now because it the only thing he can eat

He's definitely recovering! It's been a week since I found him and he's improving so much it's unbelievable! He no longer shakes when I put him in the water so I don't have to hold him so much (gives my arm a break it starts to fall asleep while feeding him :) ) He can also eat without me holding the food for him, all I have to do is hold him up to the food. I think he may even have the start of gel limbs :D !
I spent 2 hours feeding him earlier today! He still only wants banana but I can get away with putting more nutritious things on it.
Can crabs regrow their antennae without molting? He's got what looks like a very small antennae on his body, I'm not sure what it is but thought I'd ask :)

I hope it all goes well!
YYWW I didn't do anything, I woke up, checked in on him and there was a tiny pile of sand with no crab in sight! He did it all on his own! Strong little crab :)
rml6f4 Haha, hopefully, we've actually been calling him the zombie crab, that's exactly what he looks like

Ah ah! You found him and ISO'd him by your own hands. If it weren't for you he might not have even had a chance! I can only hope to be able to catch my crabs at their time of need. You have my kudos! Image

GUESS WHO MOLTED!?!
We were out doing errands and I tell my mom that when I get home I'm gonna check on Devise (more going to look into an empty tank :) ) When I get home I'm surprised to see the sand had moved around a bit. I started to get excited, then I see his shell :) I'm beyond happy. I was getting to be really worried.
HE'S SOOO TINY! Here's some pics!

So tiny and orange!
He'll probably have to molt another time or two before I put him in the main tank.
Thank you everyone who helped me or simply said kind words, I'm incredibly grateful :) I know there are a few members who are also in this same situation, Just wanted to say to you all, Don't give up, do your best and let the crab take care of the rest :) :)
