Super dark crab?

Post by Jen.miller » Thu May 21, 2020 9:13 pm

Hey everyone! I ended up with a new guy last night, and I'm noticing that he is MUCH darker than any of my others.

Hes a big guy, too. His shell is nearly the size of a racquetball, and he looks like he's ready for a bigger house.

Does anyone have any ideas? Is he a normal PP? Or something else?

Thanks so much!Image

By looking at the eyes, and the color of the one leg it appears to be a Purple Pincher.

Purple Pinchers come in a wide variety of colors!! It's always amazed me how different they can look from one crab to another! :) Congratulations on your new crab! :)
