Newly added 2nd level and shells
Newly added 2nd level and shells
We just got our new crabs a week ago, and yesterday we added a second level, and got the habitat stocked with our new shells from Naples Seashell.
After having the shells in the tank for less than 24 hours, we have had 3 of the 6 crabs change shells!
They all seem to be adapting and eating well in their new habitat, even though they were in less than ideal conditions at the pet store they were acquired from.
Thank you for all the help and advice thus far!

What is the second level platform made of? I love it!
Re: Newly added 2nd level and shells
It is egg crate/fluorescent light diffuser panel with burlap sewn around it (like a pillow case).hermieluv1 wrote:What is the second level platform made of? I love it!

Nice! How is it held up? I think I see a suction cup?
Re: Newly added 2nd level and shells
Yes, four suction cups. Plus, I cut it a little snug, so it's basically lodged in there so tight, that it doesn't really need the suction cups, but they are there for added security.CallaLily wrote:Nice! How is it held up? I think I see a suction cup?
