New ruggies!

Post by cHorse » Wed Jun 03, 2015 1:06 pm

Today I got 3 new ruggies to keep with my PP.
I'm not good at sizes, but I think one is tiny/small, one small and one small/medium.
All seem to be healthy and very outgoing, though the biggest one got some creepy mites.

"My" crab will be named Ruby (I have stone theme on mine), I'm thinking of "claiming" the small one.
My boyfriend is going to name his Shredder or Donatello (teenage mutant ninja turtles)
The third crab will be named after a pokemon, any ideas on a good name? :D we already got a Paras :)

The smallest one, he's so tiny and cute!

Smallest again.

Middle one. He's got some cool pattern on the.. Head? Back? Whatevz :)

Big one.

Big one again. I do love his colours!

I ordered them from my local pet store :) I live in Sweden, and right now the only species that can be ordered are ruggies, violas and straws.

Woah, the small and medium one's totally remind me of my aussies! The similarities are unbelieveable.

Yeah, they are quite similar! But the eyes are kind of different, I think.
Aussies are so cute btw!

OK, why do you type in BTW instead of by the way?

It's a pretty common abbreviation. I went looking for the thread that defined things like this for you, but it seems to have been shortened to only hermit crab related things commonly used here. Probably because there aren't really many online who don't recognize the meanings anymore. Maybe we should put one together again?

cHorse, those are some cute crabbies!

You can also use the Google machine to look up abbreviations and acronyms.

Donatello, the middle ruggie, have changed into a lovely murex (?) shell :)

And little Ruby thinks he's the boss of the tank! Might change when he meets my medium crabs ;)

May you please look at my post in New Crabs & Crab Owners that I just posted? From seeing this, I believe he may be a Ruggie then, but still not sure. Your crabs are gorgeous.
