I love the bright reds....

The frisky one showed me right away that he likes to climb.

He's been all over the bottom of the crabitat, made off with a dried cranberry and a giant raisin right away. He was trying to climb the fishing net but I accidentally startled him. And he has started to rearrange the decorations. I think he is going to be a fun one.

This is the only glimpse I've gotten of the other one.

Love the toenail poking out of the carrier box  !

It's so wonderful that these little guys have such distinct personalities: out of the 10 PPs I've had for any length of time over the years (and others that, sadly, passed from PPS before even acquiring a name), no two have been the same. How can anyone say hermit crabs are boring?
PPs are Big Enzo, Charles Paris and Mr Pinch
On the Big Beach in the Sky: Murray, Gino, Oscar, Gordon, Ignatz, Harry and King Felix the Pale
Also Mom to Imogene the Syrian Hamster

Hopefully some of mine will show personalities other than 'scardy cat', lol...

Speaking of personality, new guy, who I've decided to call Malcolm, was showing off last night.

Snuck up on Kaylee and turned on a light just long enough to snap a pic. Best look I've gotten at this baby yet, such a pretty red color.Image

They are beautiful ^.^! Lol my Hearts was like that at first then her boyfriend Herc made her one tough cookie . He is our biggest crab and her protector. She now thinks and proves she is untouchable and pretty darn bold now . She will even push the other crabs out of her way now cause she knows no one will mess with her lol. The shy ones can be the most stubborn :P. GL with them they look great!

Thanks. I have some new greenery to add to the crabitat, I'm hoping that will make them more comfortable too.

I have a bunch of greenery. Even with as many crabs as I have I don't see many during the day because they can hide. Good for them but sad for me.

Oh, dear. Both Kaylee and Malcolm changed shells while I was out of town. Little buggers are going to make it impossible to know who is who.

You have to look at their faces, personalities, and/or markings. No they don't make it easy on you esp the Shopaholics. Hearts has always been my pale girl so she is easy to tell apart from the others lol. It will get easier with time tho to tell who is who lol. They do love to keep you guessing .
I am lucky I guess lol mine are out all the time. Day, night, and afternoon. Someone is always out and about. If not all at once than one or two are acting nuts lol. Bat Girl is my only one down atm, she is molting. Everyone else is running around the tat climbing, eating, or swimming lol. I have fat crabs...someone is always stuffing face .
