HCA: Hermit Crab Association

What is the cutest thing you have caught your little crabbies doing? Mine is when hagrid, Harry and Norbert were all in a circle sharing a piece of pineapple.

My crabs sure haven’t been known to do the cutest things, but one of the cutest thing I’ve seen them do is all sleep huddled close together in their hideout.

one of mine would "check up" on the other when he was about to molt. he would walk over to the spot where my crab dug down and just stare at it for about five minutes and go back to trying to climb the wall. then about an hour later he would do it again, hour after hour. they are best buds!

my other crab also was hitting my plant like a punching bag. he would slap it, it would come back, he would slap it, and so on. i couldnt stop laughing!

Mine will dip one foot slowly in the water one or two times as if testing the temp before he drinks

I don't really observe my crabs for the cute things they do, but they sure do a lot of weird and funny things. The E's run backward whenever they see a hand in the tank, but I guess the PP's are cute when they sleep halfway inside of their shells.

mine run backward too! also my little guy came up from molting and they just stared at each other like "family reuniun!" YAY!

One of my crabs actually did the cutest thing I’ve seen him do yesterday. He finished molting a couple days ago and when I was taking a picture of him he started waving his small claw straight up in the air (sadly he lost his big claw during the molt

cool! i have seen mine wave before.

This was one of my favorites, the picture doesn’t do it justice at all, I couldn’t get the right angle without disturbing them. They’ve both got their shells propped up, resting up on them.
