How do people get exotic Breeds?

I was wondering how people find exotic HC breeds like Straws and Indos? I haven't seen any up for adoption, and no pet store ever has them. Thanks!

You can occasionally get straws, ruggies, and violas at local pet shops. I've found that I've had better luck at mom and pop shops. If you can make a personal connection with the owner, they might be able to special order them for you. Many have ordered through livehermitcrabs.com but their reviews are very sketchy at best, although I've ordered from them several times.
