Not digging the moss pit

Post by Krabby_Mommie78 » Sat Sep 03, 2016 11:29 am

I was super excited to create a moss pit for my babies...no one likes it Image. Should I do something different? Also, I am trying to make a shell shop and they have no interest in that either. Any suggestions?? ImageImage

Is there a way for them to get in? They also could either have just not checked it out yet, or be more active at night. You could check for sub in the moss pit as well.

How long have you had the moss pit and shell shop?

It took weeks for mine to climb up to the moss pit.

It took about 2-3 weeks of mine checking it out before they finally took "the plunge" and now I have 2 that won't stay out...

How big are your crabs compared to the SS & MP? I'm sure that they are probably large enough. I would suggest stretching the lizard canopy out to make it more stable. Right now I think it looks like it would be hard for a hc to change shells in. Also, maybe you could put more ways to get to each thing? Perhaps by using fish net? Once your hc's find them they will be happy! :) Way to go!

I am happy to report that I decided to make a different shell shop...and this time I used some moss and put the shells on top...needless to say the baby was all over it! I am hoping he was browsing for a new shell...I am still waiting for him and football to change shells, I hate the painted ones. My 3rd hermie is currently my "pet sand" lol.ImageImage

I think my moss pit became a party nap zone. I have one under for a molt (maybe) and the other three have found their way into the moss pit and refuse to move. I came in this morning and they had actually removed about half of the moss...
