New ruggie & e both molt successfully!

Post by ceo1282 » Tue May 15, 2012 1:38 am

My new baby ruggie went down 6 days after I got it & emerged Saturday evening! The next morning one of my e's had also emerged...I'm pretty sure she wanted to be able to say Happy Mother's Day  I was so happy to see them both & they look great :D The little ruggie is pink which only makes it that much cuter :molted:: It's such a great feeling when they successfully complete a molt. I currently have 5 pp's, 2 e's, & possibly my other ruggie, all molting. I can't wait until they begin popping up one by one...I love it
Yes, I own hermit crabs. Am I crazy? Yes, but not because I own hermit crabs :p

Thank you! While they are far from the 1st molts i've been thru, I find each one to be just as exciting & rewarding as the last. These 2 were a little more nerve racking for me though because the ruggie was brand new & I read that e's can have trouble with their molts...something about getting caught up in their exo?! I've had 2 e's molt without any problem & a 3rd that's currently molting. I have my fingers crossed she'll make it thru just fine also.

yes I think we all get nervous with our E's. So many horror stories. I've had 3 of them molt now, and a 4rth making his cave right now. I hope yours all come up safe.
