I dont think its much of a deal. Sand they can handle. You can try to gently sprinkle the sand if you're afraid of collapsing a cave, so that you lessen the impact of adding sand. But i think crabs are great diggers, and have protective mobile homes, so they can take cover once you make yourself present.

Well he was in a grab-able place when I got home so I scooped 4 crabs out- one is still hiding. And I've added 2-3 inches of sub. I'm hoping I'm doing enough prep work for my indo and viola. I want to give the best conditions I can.

I like your hanging moss pit but can't quite tell what it is you've used. The only second level I have now is the shell shop shelf, a clear plastic weave suction cup soap dish, so a hanging moss pit would be a great addition to the grapevine branch, plastic vines and crocheted climbing wall!

I have two moss pits that are hanging shower caddys. Both were from Walmart. The big one in the back has purple aquarium plants hanging. They had little stone bases and I cut them off, and then stuck them through the little holes so that they hang all pretty

Thanks! Everyone is in all kinds of an uproar! The two bigger crabs have been quite crazy displays of grump towards each other, but nothing too bad. I hope things settle soon!

Tank looks gorgeous! I especially like the use of craft plastic gridding to help access the pools -- great idea  . Are your new guys PPs, too?

Yes! A small and a medium guy. I'm not sure how much good food they were getting at their last home. Her supplies she gave me had a lot of commercial crab food and products, but then she had some food from THCP. So I know they had a mix of stuff. Though I have no idea if she ever really gave them fresh foods. They went nuts for the plum and blueberries last night. I want to get some fresh seafood soon. I'm thinking shrimp, or maybe something stinkier? Lol. I'm happy the tank is pretty much on hold for updates right now- lol.

Where did you get the suction cups that the dark colored vine is going through? I have a thick rope I want to put in for my guys and can't figure out how to do it.
