The two front doors are each about 28.5 inches tall and 18 inches wide.

How many crabs do you have in there? Do your exotics like it?

With the glass insert is the tat able to still get sufficient venting to prevent condensation on the walls?

Those vents aren't actually blocked by the glass. There's a gap. I run a fogger in there often.

Awesome! I want to do something similar to your build next years, one last question, do you have a UTH or heat bulbs, or what lights do you use?

I have two of the largest size Zoo Med heat pads on the terrarium. One on the left side and one across the back wall. I have two light canopies on top with a total of eight sockets. I use a mixture of UV bulbs and standard light bulbs. The bulbs aren't specifically heat bulbs, but they do put out a lot of heat.

What does your heat & humidity stay at? I love the huge variety of crabs that you have in one tank! They are all very beautiful and I love the names! I never get tired of revisiting this thread or your video!!!

Humidity ranges from 75%-95%. The overhead lights burn off a lot of humidity through the day while they're on so I run the fogger as needed.

The heat varies depending on the season and day/night. The winter season day-night range is roughly 82-75 degrees. The summer day-night range is roughly 96-80 degrees.

Thanks!

I haven't used those green bowls in the original photos as pools for a long time. I went back to my old Lock & Lock pantry storage bins. At their deepest point, those are 4 inches.

I need to post some current pictures of my crabitat and crabs. I'll try to work on that.

Re: 101 Gallon Exo Terra Crabitat Build, update 5/24/17

Post by sugarselections » Wed May 24, 2017 12:33 pm

I'm finally getting around to posting some updated photos the crabitat and crabs.

The crabitat as of 5/17. The substrate level is a little low, but I'll be doing a deep clean in June so I'm not bothering to top it off right now.
