Beau discovered his wheel!

Post by CrabbyLover77 » Mon Oct 07, 2019 4:14 pm

Beau has finally discovered his wheel and what it does. I think it's going on 3 hours now that he's been walking away on it. I just kept putting a treat on the wheel every night to lure him onto it, so I guess it worked lol.

That is the cutest thing! I love it. I'm glad your crab is enjoying it. I'd definitely like to attempt something like that in their new tank.

Thanks! I was so excited to see him on there today (it's the little things in life right?). The only problem is I need to change his food out, but I don't want to disturb his exercise...but he's been on there all day lol! Image

Hehe thanks! Now I feel bad not having a wheel for him all these years. Had I not found the HCA, I would have never known they'd enjoy something like that.
You'll definitely have to try out a wheel when you can. A little crabby/craft mesh on the inside and some command hooks for hanging and you're good to go. Image

When you change out his food, all he'll most likely do is hunker down in the wheel for a bit.

It's late now so I think I'll change it in the morning, but you're probably right. Lately he's been less spooked by my hand than he used to be for the many years I had him. If I would put my hand in anywhere in his crabitat he would immediately retract in his shell and fall over. He seems to be doing better the last couple months though and just cautiously watches me. Hehe thanks! Beau wasn't on the wheel at all today that I noticed. He must have wore himself out being on it constantly the first couple of days lol. Image
