Fall crabitat redecoration!

I wanted to spice things up a little in the tank, and went...um...a little crazy. I got a decoration at Petsmart, some silk leaves and leaf garland at Michael's, and went crazy. Oh, and I got glow in the dark gummy decals. Of course. I also took the opportunity to add another shell shop, wipe down all the glass, and smooth out the sand.

Whole tank.

Close up of the awesome tree and the fake leaves. Pretty + a hiding spot!

I had to put all the guys that were up in a KK temporarily since I didn't want to hurt them while messing around. They were less than impressed.

Looks nice! You got a cute group there. Love that big blue PP!

Do you have issues with that stick falling over all the time? My Es and large PP will knock anything over that can be knocked over and it drives me nuts sometimes.

That looks awesome! I may just have to go to the dollar store and get some fall colored plants for my tank.

Zip ties are my best friends!

Yeah i suppose those work for most of mine. But on things like sticks the crabs somehow manage to slip the sticks through and off the zip ties.

Thanks everyone!! I had fun redecorating it, and despite my husband calling me crazy he helped too.

The crabs don't seem impressed, but I'll pretend they're grateful.
Erik, I haven't had any issues with the stick in all the time I've had it. It's actually just tied to the moss pit, and part of the hemp I used goes under a little nubby part on the stick and that seems to hold it. Maybe I'm just lucky! My crabs are more focused on destroying food, not the tank.

First - you are crazy and second they are a bit busy mauling the cork rounds too. Lol

Anyone with this many hermit crabs has to be crazy...There's no other way to describe it.
Don't even get me started on the cork!! That stupid cork round is fine as long as my teenies are the only ones messing with it, but then one of my bigger ones randomly decides to haul his or her fat butt up the side to cram into it, and it falls over. Then I peek in, and there's a crab stuffed into it looking at me like "What? Fix it!"
But yes. They love eating the cork.

Don't worry, I love crazy!

Anyhow, I loved your tank! Very spooky, all we need is the spiders & the bones... Then it will be all set!
