Finally redecorated the tank!

Post by leah610 » Sun Jun 03, 2018 12:59 pm

Update: The crabs love their new setup!

Tai, in a shell shop

Kai, climbing on a shell shop

For the last week, the two refuse to depart from the cork bark. Its their new hang out spot. It's almost like they switch positions amongst each other- as if neither of them wants to leave and they take turns sitting in one spot. One day Kai will be perched up at the top of the cork and Tai will be at the bottom, and the next, Kai will be at the bottom and Tai will be at the top! Image

Image
Tai resting at the top and Kai climbing up the bark (on the side)

Image
Tai still on top, and Kai sleeping at the end of the bark on the sub

Image
Kai, now on the top of the bark, and Tai all the way at the bottom, sleeping!

Wonderful! So, you have noticed an increase in activity?
I moved my tank two days ago and had to redecorate it too, it's not often that I do this.
The crabs couldn't be more active, they are always moving. I increased sub depth, and removed wood, that made them really active!

Well, I actually think the activity in my tank is the same. My guys are really active. They're up every night making noise and what not, and I see them every morning before I leave my house- the same as when I had my old layout. How much sub do you have now? And did they ever hang around the wood you had in there before?

Really like the look of the tank. May I ask what size it is. Also where did you get your shells.

Thank you! I have a 29G tank, and got the shells from Naples Sea Shell Company, I believe! Image
