I LOVE this picture! It is perfect! Can we make a crabby calendar with some of our pictures!? This is really a great picture! They are so gorgeous and the color contrast between the two and the apple in the middle just makes it so perfect!

Thanks. I was surprised at how this picture came out too! I ate the apple this morning for breakfast and put the rest in the tank. I usually peek in the tank several times as I'm getting ready for work. Within 5 minutes I saw they were both muching on it. I thought it would be a cool picture IF they stayed in place. I grabbed my phone from the bedroom and figured one of them would have ran. Luckily they both stated there long enough to get this one picture! The hardest part was trying to get a non foggy sand coated area of the glass to get a somewhat clear shot! This may be one of my favorite crab pictures I've taken.

Yes! Getting around the sandy, foggy, water drops to get a clear picture when they’re doing something that needs to be captured! Always fun! Lol!

The calendar idea is a good one- it could be an excellent fundraiser- or something!

I only do it with organic veggies and fruits we buy. To me it's no different than giving a dog table scraps. The crabs really seem love picking at the cores.

I put a small piece of bananna I ate for breakfast in for them today. Within five minutes one was already having their breakfast too.

Whenever we steam veggies or make spaghetti we always set a little aside to cool for them before we add sauces, spices, or seasonings. Mine really love steamed broccoli and chunks of potato without the eyes.

The calendar contest is at Crab Street Journal. They have monthly contests in their forum section. Near the end of the month they add all that months pictures in a voting poll for one week. Whatever picture has the most votes wins that months picture for next year's calendar and your choice of several foods from their food shop. You need to join their site to enter and vote.
