One of my new little guys (I’ve had him for a couple months) has appeared from the down under. I haven’t seen him in at least a month or so.
This is Mr. Crabs and he is NOT shy.

Re: Little Crabby
Imaging my surprise this morning when I picked up his shell and it was empty. I nearly had a heart attack.
I did a quick scan of available shells and realized he changed shells. And then I located him in the moss pit.

Aw so tiny and cute!
But please stop handling the little one, it stresses them out. Most of us on here recommend a hands-off approach.

Cute! Look at those black toenails! But I agree with curlysister about handling them.

It stresses them out? Really? I did not know that. When I’m fidgeting in the tank they come right up to me. And always pop out to check things out.
I didn’t know it stressed them out.

Re: Little Crabby
I'm sure there may be crabs that are less afraid than others. Sometimes their walking around, climbing on their owners isn't being friendly, it's looking for a safe spot to hide.ThatMamaDawn wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 9:56 amIt stresses them out? Really?
