Weird sleeping positions

OK, my ruggies have been sleeping the WEIRDEST positions I can possibly imagine, there is no real way to explain it but I took a pic of a shell in the same position to show it.. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i209/ ... 009.jpghas anyone elsehad a hermie or ruggie sleep like that? It makes no sense, you'd think they'd sleep on the belly side of the shell, not the butt of it

Weird sleeping positions

My crabs don't tilt all the way back like that but I've found a few reclining in that kind of position to rest. Some droop over a piece of driftwood, which is cuter, but I catch a few going in the resin cave and leaning back with their legs dangling out of the shell. It doesn't look very comfortable but it does give their legs a break nonetheless. As long as they're active at some point, and behaving normally during those times, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It does look funny and a little odd if you've never seen it before but it's not an uncommon sleep position.

Spay or neuter your pet. It's a matter of life or death.
