What should I do

Post by AJadams » Fri Sep 28, 2018 5:08 pm

I have 3 hermit crabs and they all molted at the same time around July and one of them have surfaced but the other two have not. It doesn’t smell fishy so I would assume they are still alive but I don’t know if you could even smell it if they are buried I don’t know what to do should I dig them up leave them alone see if they are alive ? It seems like an awfully long molt

Depending on size they can take weeks to months. I've had crabs under for up to 6 months.

Leave them. There is not harm in leaving them, but lots of potential harm in digging them up!
