Molter under bowl??

Post by myllkti » Wed Jan 09, 2019 4:12 pm

Hi. So one day, my crab went missing but there were absolutely no signs he escaped, so me andmy sister thought he may be molting, especially since there was a space where a crab clearly burrowed down into next to a water bowl that didn’t match those left behind by the non-missing crab, who loves to dig. I carefully lifted the water bowl and there was the crab, who started squirming around. Feeling bad for disturbing him, I GENTLY replaced the bowl, thinking that if he chose to go under it, it probably wasn’t hurting him. It’s been a month and he still hasn’t come back up, which is perfectly normal for his size, but I’m still getting worried. Did I do the wrong thing putting the bowl back on him? Should I take out the bowl? Should I leave him be?
