My Rod found the wheel and used it within a few days, others a few weeks, I don’t think Salty has used it yet and it’s been since the end of September.

It’s been 2 weeks here. No rush on my end, just anxiousness lol

With the 20G one of them found it the next day. I believe he had a wheel at his previous home. When I added a 10" wheel in my 75G it took them a week or two to find it. That after I removed a smaller wheel and put the larger wheel in the same exact spot!

I wonder if it has something to do with the way they may smell? I do my best to at least dip them all in boiling water in order to clean them off. Maybe it takes a few weeks to smell like the rest of the tank?

I checked my cam around 3pm and Diablo was walking in the big wheel. I got home from work around 5:30 he was still in the wheel. He was in it up until about an hour ago. Now a purple is taking his place!

That might be cooler than my hemp monkey fist swing.

Thanks! I think it will. They’ve only been going to the water to the food then back to their moss pit. Someday they’ll get there!

Still waiting on them to discover and try out the hamster wheel. How long did it take for your crabs to discover it for the first time? A couple have discovered the teeter totter. They don’t use it intentionally but will use it to go from one point to the other and aren’t scared of it. I’ll post some video when I get it.

Once they find it they will be obsessed with it. My crabs are on it / playing with it almost all the time. I think it takes crabs a while to feel really comfortable in new environments. When I first got my crabs I rarely saw them but now I normally see at least a few of them around for most of the day and of course alot at night. I'm looking at my tat right now and I can see the wheel moving so somebody's definitely on it!
