Can the death smell say in over only 1 day?
SeeWee was weak, but alive yesterday morning. He didn’t smell. Last night when I checked on him he was still and had a very strong fishy smell (death smell)?
He’s been sick for a while, I’m sad but it doesn’t surprise me, I just want to make sure he’s dead before burying him. It’s a very strong fishy smell.

Yes. When it's there, there's no mistaking that smell. It comes on fast and strong.

Re: Death smell
I bury mine in the plants I love. I have 3. Therefore they live on thru the plants and are always with me. The one in the pick was a crab that the pet store gave me because they were tired of having him. Looking back, he was 98% dead when I got him home. He passed here with me.
