accidentally dug up my hermie

Post by posters.mp3 » Fri Aug 02, 2019 6:01 pm

I’ve usually remained calm whenever my crabs would molt; I’d see them bury themselves and then try to keep my mind off of them until they resurface. I’d never dig them up or anything.

Just now, I gently picked up the log in the tank and saw one of my crabs, Mungdaal, buried underneath and trying to molt. I feel bad because I didn't mean to dig him up, I just wanted to move the log a little to get something behind it.

Anyhoo, would Mungdaal still be ok during his molt? he just started today.

If he had just dug under the sub, he hadn't likely started to shed his exo.

He may bury deeper when he's ready to molt.
