We recently got worried for one of our crabs, as he had been under quiet some time and likes to tunnel and some of our newer crabs, and crabs in general, had been doing a lot of digging up and down and, as we feared, collapsed his tunnels on him. Last night, we found him, tunnels had collapsed, and seemed dried out. We let him sit over night above surface for slim hope, and before giving up, submerged him in salt water. After pulling him back up, it seemed like some color was slowly coming back to him. Now, before I get my hopes up, as this one is my favorite crab, is it too late? Ninja has yet to move at all, but we assumed if he was alive and dry, he wouldn't be very active at all. But like I said, after Submerging in Salt Water, it seems some color has come back to him.

If you can fill out the emergency template, we may be better able to help you:

This link covers some of the hydration information: http://hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=73222&highlight=

Do you see antennae movement?
Have you noticed any molting symptoms?

You may want to look into Calabrating your hygrometers. Calibrate/test your humidity gage to see how accurately it is reading. Majority of the time they are off when we buy them and can be off as much as 20%:
