To rise everyone or not to rinse everyone?

Post by hermilove » Sat Jan 24, 2015 1:36 pm

I'm going to be putting a guy who ended up surface molting and loosing a couple legs through that molt, who successfully re-molted with all his appendages, back into the main tank. I've let him de-stress for the last two weeks in ISO and I want to put him back today. I usually try and rinse everyone in the main tank off, but is that actually necessary, or is it only necessary to rinse the guy going into the tank?

I only give new crabs or those returning after ISO a quick dunk in the freshwater pool before turning them lose in the main crabitat. It just makes them smell less new to the crabs already there.

Ok thanks! Washing one crab is a lot easier :)
