Crab Recipe: Coconut Snow Balls

Post by NewCrabber » Fri Apr 15, 2005 11:03 am

I went to a whole food store recently and picked up something called, "Snow Balls". We love it, all of my hermies love it. I even had the shiest of them eating from my hand. Best of all, it's easy to duplicate!Organic if you can...In a food processor add raisins, raw almonds, medjool dates and walnuts; mix until you have a paste. Roll into balls ( I do quarter size, good for humans and hermies ) and roll balls in coconut. Apples, bananas, papaya, mango and a lot of other things can be added for a tasty treat, too. I really enjoy these myself and my hermies are wild for them! With the protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals including E, C, some of the Bs, iron, potassium, calcium as well as antioxidants it's healthy, too!
