Looks to me that he freshly moulted! I would suggest ISO'ing him ASAP! Is his exoskeleton near, if so place that with the crab. He needs it to regain lost vitamins and minerals. If not, place some cuttlefish or something similar near him to regain his hardness.

If it's wide enough. He needs his exo, protein, calcium and water, and maybe honey or peanut butter - energy food.

Both help but he needs drinking (fresh) the most. Sand isn't important at this point but darkness is. Cover him with a dark towel or something.

Looks good. I believe the dark is just so he can destress. He's probably still soft so don't expect much but eating the exo right away.

JJ- are you on????

Can you powder some of the cuddle bone? The pinchers will be soft. Is anyone there you trust to take the fresh food out and replace?

Take the back of a spoon and just crush it into small pieces. If no one can change the fresh foods, use your best judgement as you know how quickly it might go bad. The honey and peanut butter should be good for a week.

Like singlemomwithctab offers: You can put the cuttlebone in a bag and smash it with a rollingpin or big spoon.
Honey a PB mixed, left near the heat source will stay good for a long time.
He needs to be in the dark and quiet to simulate being back in his cave so he can pick up where he left off. The good news is he seems to be folded up nicely, so hopefully he wont be stressed or deformed. You dont even need to check on him at all until you're back in 3 days. After you're gone he can prob just hang out in ISO, but i recommed putting a moss pit to help with humidity and also give him something to snuggle in. Doesnt need to be deep, maybe just as tall as he is.
The sooner and longer you leave him be, the better. Just bring him back after he has hardened or he might get scared.
