HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I've been feeding that to my crabs for a year now... They LOVE it!!!!!

I like all the stuff from the Hermit Crab Patch.... My crabbies love all there stuff...

I cook mine in the micro... with some crushed shells..

Then I put them in my bowl sprinkle some spiraluna on them and drizzle with olive oil... they seem to enjoy it... sometimes I sprinkle grey sea salt on them too.... they adore there salt!!!!!

It should be just fine..... I don't think salt goes bad.... mine is very moist to, why does that happen I wonder....

Were I live in Wisconsin we call Horse manure Horse apples So I thought at first you were feeding them that well they are scavengers after all and they eat worm poop!!!!! :roll: just saying

I feed it to mt hermies alot..... I always pop my popcorn in it too... It is really yummy...


If you really want a treat pop your popcorn in bacon fat or Duck fat it is to die for we have it once in awhile for a treat!!!!!

Could there be some rotting food in your tat, that your crabs might have buried???? mine do that sometimes with smelt and other things.... just a thought!!!!

I always mist them when there in my moss pit!!!! they only leave it at night..... mine is near the heater also.... so i mist alot....

I also use vinegar for just about everything, especially my floors, i have a parrot who walks all over and my dogs..... this way i know there safe from harmful chemicals

I use the kidney shape ceramic bowl and two with ramps that i purchased at the pet store... they work well for me....

I sometimes use glass marbles that i found at Walmart!!!!

Crystal, my jumbos love my deep moss pit!!! it's attached to the side of the glass... I have a log they climb up on and crawl right in.... there in their all the time!!! and it adds lots of humidity.... or you could put a pile of damp moss in a corner and they should hide in there!!!!! let me know h...
