Thank you everyone! All of your suggestions sound good to me. I will definitely try to get some more protein for them because right now the majority of the food I have for them is Fruit, veggies, and calcium supplements. I am going to keep him in isolation for now and offer him some more protein. Af...

Super aggressive hermie
Okay everyone- I am a relatively new hermit crab owner. I've had my crabs for about a month now! :clap: Unfortunately, I am having some serious problems. I have 3 crabbies, Jose (the largest), Pablo (medium size), and Pearl (teeny tiny!) (even when I say largest, all my crabs are still really small....

OMG everyone FALSE ALARM! haha thank you all for your responses. Turns out-after I already carefully sifted through all the sand in my ISO trying to find him, we WAS in one of the extra shells I had in the ISO as decoration (because it was way to big) tucked all the way back in it! :crabblush: :smt1...

also- I've found one of his legs and another part of a leg while looking for him..I'm not sure how this happened because he was alone..thats why I thought molt maybe?

okay I can definitely answer those but first what is the best method for me to dig him up? I can't see where he is and I don't want to hurt him.. should I dump all the sand out onto a flat surface or just dig for him with a spoon?

Molting without shell
My hermit crab is in an ISO because I suspected him of killing another crab. He has now buried himself and left his shell on the surface..could he be molting without his shell? should I try to dig him up?
