New crab adopted today
Hello everyone! I rescued this guy from a local pet store - he looked like he needed a good crabitat, and I couldn't leave him there. He's cloudy eyed and clumsy. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/21/c1a08707f81d4cae1a2f2bb46f12d648.jpg http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/21/b4ff64e4ddf557...

What's going on since? Did you get your crabitat upgraded for the best living conditions? Your guy could use a good molt, I'm sure. Hoping it's going better

I think you'd be fine if you're pulling out the peanuts and sunflower seeds. If you decide not to feed them to your hermies, the birds would gobble that up!!

So you ordered 3 Blue's and got 5 crabs, instead? That's interesting. Hmm... well I am glad you got your new babies. I love peek-a-boo! We saw one like that the other day and it made my daughter and I giggle! --- Nice crabbies! Love the box pictures. lol I could feel the suspense and the enjoyment f...

Re: LiveHermitCrabs.com
Yeah I agree that there may be a few issue but I really don't see the problem, prices are ok-way better then crabby patch- shipping is standard overnight. The wait is a little long but she's not stealing money or anything. I will most likly order from cranberries next time as they have blue and str...

Re: Unsafe Food List from EH
We are having a discussion on a thread about houseplants in the crabitat. This plant came up but it's in neither safe nor unsafe list.
Zebrina pendula, also known as Wandering Jew.
Does anyone have information?

Re: Deep substrate IS important. 9 PP's down!
I have added more substrate to mine with guys down under. When I do it, I mix it up outside the tank and add a little at a time. I'll sprinkle an inch or so over the top and let the crabs pack it in. I don't want to risk packing it in too tight and making it harder for my guys to get out (of course...

Re: Deep substrate IS important. 9 PP's down!
How long have you had yours? :) It depends. If they are new and from the pet store AKA bad conditions, then they are de-stressing or molting. If you're like me and you've had them for a while, it's just what crabs do! May take weeks. It's actually cool cause then they all molt at the same time and ...
