HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hey guys! I'm back! But not with any hermit crab related things. Nope, I think i'm buying a crested gecko soon! But I have a few questions... 1. If I buy them from a pet store, will they be healthy? I know most crabs have PPS when bought from a store, is it the same with geckos? Also, I've never rai...

My last crab just died, so I'm done. All I have left is a sad, empty tank....and nightmares. I loved this forum but I honestly can't deal with the stress of taking care of these little guys. When they die, it's extremely heartbreaking. Bye guys.

Hey guys! Meet big boy, my shy new crab! On the way home he wouldn't come out of his shell, we honestly thought he was dead! But he's starting to destress a bit, he's just hiding in the hermit hut (he's almost to big for it XD)

I'm getting new crabs on Friday, I'm really excited! Lucky needs a

So the lid of my tank won't come off, and I haven't fed/given lucky fresh water in a few days. It's possible to get the lid off with a lot of pulling but I'm not that strong. And honestly, I don't want to spend another 100$ to replace an otherwise good tank. So what should I do?

"I do need a heater! They can only breathe in hot humid climates. That's why I spray the tank"

Yeah where do they usually have PP's? I've only seen E's

Alright, I only have one crab and about six inches of substrate.

So I was at petco the other day, and I grabbed a bag of substrate made for geckos (the sand made for crabs there were all calcium sand) is the gecko sand okay?
