I feed them sinking pellets, and i beleive there working.
Unfortunately i haven't seen the eating :'(
Soon though, i'm gonna get some kind of bottom feeder.

yes the substrate is sandcastle, and i guess i'll stop using the pellets.
they usually don't eat them anyways.

all in all i guess i need to man up and play the wait game. :(
on the plus side i do have 3 still out.

1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it?  Play sand, and coconut fibre eco earth. 8 inches. 2. Do you have gauges in the tank to measure temperature and humidity? these are my first crabs and 6 of 9 are down for a molt. For sure. the other 3, haven't tried digging up any of the molters. they seem to be staying away from that side of the tank altogether. i made sure they have plenty of proteins and calcium in the tank in hopes of deturing cannibalism.
