Re: Random pieces of Exo

This was like the whole side of the BP and a few leg tips. I tossed it in the eggshell dish. Didn't think much of it until later.

Random pieces of Exo

So I was doing some spot cleaning and when I picked up my food dish, there were quite a few pieces of Exo laying in the sub. No crab, no tunnel. 3 of my 5 are down. I'm just worried that this could be a sign of a dead crab. They never seem to be up all at once so it's hard to keep a count of them. T...

Re: Traveling for 1-2 weeks with no one to care for hermies?

I use Press n Seal under my mesh lid. I just stretch it tight across my tank like I'm covering a bowl. Then I sit my lid on top. I usually use something small to poke a hole for my bubblers if I still need them. Duck tape only worked for a few months until it started to give up... Sent from my iPhon...

Well. He didn't make it. Came in this morning and I could already smell the stink. He was my first Crab in 2015. Sad today.

Re: Uh oh...

I would suggest a proper bulb, like one in the blue or red spectra so you don't disturb your crab as much. And off needed, proper humidity gauge Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk I was planning on using a night glow bulb and just use the light from the classroom to illuminate the tank a bit, but...

We were doing a clean today (because we have an internal review at our school this week) and my student assistant pulled a rock out and collapsed a Molters tunnel. I initially thought the Crab was dead, but I saw some movement in the legs and antennae. Since all of our crabs are up, we didn't want a...

So last week, I fed my crabs a mixture of scrambled eggs, crushed shells, shrimp and shrimp tail. I put the finished mixture into the ice cube trays and wrap it in Saran Wrap and finally in aluminum foil. I put one in the tat on Monday of last week around 4:00 before heading home and it was GONE whe...

Re: Funny find

Hey, sorry to post something sort of off topic but I saw you still have your KK pools and was wondering how well they're holding up? Excellent. I don't move them very much. Maybe once every other week to clean them. My bubblers usually empty it out pretty quickly so I never have any stagnant water....

Trying to see if I can get anything to grow. It's full of 2 bricks of eco earth I had soaked in treated water. One row is parsley, one row is green beans, one row is kale. I guess I'll see in a few weeks. Using artificial lighting because my classroom never gets direct sunlight. https://uploads.tapa...
