How is the humidity in your tank? If the crabs are clustering under the dishes they may be searching for more moisture. Some crabs can be talkative or go through phases where they are noisy. If you aren't seeing any signs of fighting or distress I wouldn't worry. I once had six crabs down molting at the same time and they would talk to each other in the middle of the night, it was kind of creepy! I used to joke they...

Calcium Sand In An ISO?
I've just gotten a ten gallon tank to use for my crab's ISO tank and I was wondering if it was alright to use calcium sand. The place I went to had limited sand and this was the only good option. I got 20lbs of "Pure and Safe Reptile Calcium Substrate. Is it okay to use this for my crab's ISO tank?
