Re: Kermie Re-Grew Big Pincher
He looks to me like he is missing two legs. Sometimes their color will darken a few weeks after they come up :) Congrats on the big pincher growing back little Kermie! :) He is :( I realized that after I posted. I was so focused on the one side that I didn't even notice the other. Im pretty sure he...

Kermie Re-Grew Big Pincher
Not too long ago, Kermie lost his big pincher and one of his legs in a fight. He went down to molt a month ago and came up tonight with a brand new pincher - but no new leg. The pincher looks good, it’s just not as sharp as it could be. He also came up completely brown....is that a concern for a PP?...

New Tank!
The boys (yep - I somehow managed to have all males) just got an upgrade to a 36G...just wanted to share some pics. Sorry for the potato quality - the humidity in the tank doesn't lend itself to decent pictures :innocent: Immediately two of five dug under. Kermie, who lost a leg and a big pincher in...

Apparent Crab Attack....Is There Anything Else I Can Do?
Hi everyone.... My hermies are having a bit of a complicated few weeks, so please bear with me with my explanation. A few weeks ago, my 29G randomly flooded (cause still undetermined), and developed a pretty substantial bacterial bloom. During my excavation/cleaning of the 29G outside, the glass sha...

Re: The General Rules Of Crabbing
It has gotten to the point that my fiance has replaced my middle name with "hermie" when he yells at me with my full name  :hlol: after I tell someone how many I have (which isn't alot compared to alot of you on here) I explain it's addictive. It is! I've spent the last hour looking for a new ...

Re: Random Flooding
I know :( I'm completely puzzled. The only thing I can think of is when I washed the decor about a month back, and maybe that just added to the moisture? But its not like I put everything back in soaking wet. I just bought a house and will be moving in in a couple weeks. The tank I have now is way t...

Re: Random Flooding
Nope, no bubblers in the pools, and the lid is only opened for food changes.
I don't mist or add any additional moisture to the tank.
When I set the tank up over a year ago, the sand was sand castle consistency.
I'm going to go ahead and completely redo the tank.
Thanks for the input.

Re: Random Flooding
I have one down and plan to slowly sift through the sand. Here's the template: 1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it? Play sand, about 8 inches 2. Do you have gauges in the tank to measure temperature and humidity? If so, where are they located and what temperature and hu...

Re: The General Rules Of Crabbing
My general rule of crabbing... You will upgrade, but it will never be enough. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk [emoji23][emoji23] if this isn't the truest thing I've ever read on this forum. I have a little 20 gal, and when I bought my 55 I thought "oh my gosh I'll never fill this huge tank!" A...

Random Flooding
Hi Everyone..... I noticed a few weeks ago that my sand was getting extremely moist of out the blue. I woke up one morning to find PUDDLES on the surface. I checked my water bowls - neither are leaking. I even set them out for a bit to see if there was a slow leak somewhere. My humidity has remained...

Re: Is this a PP?
I love my Es. When they were smaller, they were a light blue/gray. Now that I've had them for over year and many molts later, they are brown and orange and oh so fuzzy.
