The gnat trap that always works best for me is: Get a jar or a long cup and fill 1/3 of it with bread and vinegar. Then make a funnel out of paper big enough for the gnats to go into but small enough that they can't ecsape. It works like a charm for me and it always catches TONS of gnats and flies!...

I have 3 hermit crabs and they all molted at the same time around July and one of them have surfaced but the other two have not. It doesn’t smell fishy so I would assume they are still alive but I don’t know if you could even smell it if they are buried I don’t know what to do should I dig them up l...

I actually found that out a while ago as well but one of mine actually transferred from his old shell that he had in the gift shop into another D opening shell that was in my tank

Currently all three by some miracle are molting so I cannot get a picture but I know for a fact all three were in D openings

Hermit species
I’ve had my hermits for about 2 months now and I love them, I do not know what species they are tho and I am looking to buy new shells for them I don’t know which opening they prefer. I bought them in a Florida gift shop (I didn’t know about the industry until after) can somebody help?

Mold won’t harm the hermit crabs, but it will grow more as the humidity rises. Has your hygrometer been calibrated? There’s no food buried somewhere, is there? For a quick boost, you could wrap seran wrap around the lid if it’s a screen cover. If it’s glass or plexiglass you could wrap around the entire top of the tank if it’s not air tight.
