Re: Missing parts
Thanks. I don't really have an emergency going on but I'd love the input. I know there's more that I can do, it's just a question of finding a few dollars here and there to make things happen. I'd really like to get them more things to play on and climb over. 1. What kind of substrate is used in you...

Re: Missing parts
So I'm going to be adding meal works to their diet to get the extra protein. Not sure what to add for the calcium, other than supplements. I've got him in a 20 gallon tank with just the PP, though I was thinking of adding a third. There's about 5" of substrate in the tank now and he burrows away to ...

Missing parts
Hello, I've got an Ecuadorian that's missing the first joints of it's left two legs. I'm not sure if he lost those to the jerkface PP he rooms with or if they were lost some other way, however, he seems fine. Are there any health issues I should be aware of that may result from the loss of those joi...

Re: Bag playsand already wet?! sub replacement ?s time sensi
I Got my playsand from Home Depot as well. I'd been having bacterial issues with it until I let it dry out completely. This last time I used completely dry playsand and completely dry EE. I sprayed just a little salted water in to it, not to sand castle consistency. Then I just let the evaporation i...

Rate of evaporation
Hello, I was curious how frequently you had to refill your fresh water pools? I've got a fairly large one and about a third of it evaporates over the course of the day. I don't have any issues refilling it and my hygrometer stays within spec w/o issue. I was just curious if anyone else's fresh water...

Re: Smelly substrate
I got the playsand from Home Depot. It was pretty damp when I got it and I've had it drying out for a few days now. I'm going to be using more sand that eco earth. The usual 5:1 ratio. I'm also going to be getting another lizard lounger. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013T6XPHQ/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia_1?pf_r...

Re: Smelly substrate
I've picked up everything for the new substrate. I'm using Playsand that's been completely dried out. I've got a bag of loose eco earth, instead of the compressed brick and I picked up 10 gallons worth of Instant Ocean salt. I'll be changing out the substrate tomorrow or this weekend.

Smelly substrate
Hello, I'm using a 5:1 playsand/ee substrate. I've been using distilled water to moisten it. After about a month it turns a greyish color and develops a strong fishy smell to it. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong, but here were a few things that I'm planning on trying to fix the issue. I'd ...
