Re: First Time buying new
Thank you for the information. It has been of much use. I don't mean to be ungrateful, but do you also have a good website. I have looked on Amazon but as usual, it has not been very specific or helpful.

First Time buying new
Ok, this is my first time buying more shells and I have some questions.
Firstly: What is a good website or store at which to get them
Secondly: What brand shells should I buy and approximately how many. I have 3 small/medium crabbies.

Re: Adding Play Sand
That sounds like what I will do. I can take the ee from the sifes and work in a direction. What brand or type of playsand do I get? I am seeing that some of the plays sand is bad and some is good. Also, what is the dif. between safesand and playsand?

Re: water question
I took my half a gallon of dechlorinated water and my fourth cup of Instant Ocean. That was all the math I had to do to make a small amount. The crabs love it way more than the conditioner I was stuck with before.

Re: egg question
I personally boil the egg and then simply cut or crack in half. Then just place it in and watch them enjoy.

Adding Play Sand
I am a new crabber so please forgive me but I don't know how to add new substrate. I was in a bit of a rush this weekend to improve the crabs' condition. The Eco Earth is way deeper and their diet has been buffed with Pink GrapeFruit, sweet potato, kale, dried mango and peanuts. However I did not ha...

Re: Random Exo Pieces. Need help.
It sounds like you found some pieces of exo that were not eaten after a molt. Don't panic. There are some things that can be improved in your tank though. Great advice by Crabby33, just adding a few things to it as well: 1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it? I have a 10...

1. What kind of substrate is used in your tank and how deep is it? I have a 10g tank and use EcoEarth for about 5 inches and calcium sand for 3. In th middle is a small strip of standard wood chip reptile bedding. It has created small pools of water. The substrate is approximately only twice the hei...

Re: Random Exo Pieces. Need help.
I was expecting them to be fighting and I was expecting them to be hurt, deshelled or worse. And no all of the had shells. There is a large purple claw, a large front walking claw and 3 smaller front appendages. (Not shell holding claws) all appear to be hollow

Celebrationand a question
 YAY. I finally got some Marine salt water salt! Starting this weekend, the crabs will be getting MSW instead of conditioned water. Niw, how do you use Cuttlebone? I went all out and bought some of the Saltwater salt, a huge bag of EE and some Cuttlebone but am unsure how to mix it in with foo...

Random Exo Pieces. Need help.
Last night, I heard some serious clicking and clacking of shells. In the morning I found and empty shell and a crab on my net. I have a saran-covered net top and Cheeto was hanging from it. He has never done this. Later today, I discover my 2nd crab, Frito up there as well. I was expecting a bloodba...

Bad Floors
When I reconstructed my tank, I needed to replace all the substrate. I sadly ran out of EcoEarth and was forced to use standard bark chip reptile bedding. Long story short, it is complete garbage. It absorbs no moisture. It creates pools of standing water that I can't get rid of. It has also started...

Re: Two Questions
Well, If it is in immediate danger of collapsing, then the resulting crash could be much more disruptive than removing it. If it looks like itis going to give out, make sure there are no crabs in the area. Then, slowly remove the log gently and quietly. then fill in the hole with more substrate. The...
