HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Do all hermits block the shell entrance with only their large claw? My PP only use that one. I rescued a new crab yesterday. Very active, not shy at all. When it withdraws into its shell it has two legs next to the large claw also exposed in its a defensive posture. Not sure of the species, possibly...

Do you have any other pets that eat insects? When I buy crickets for my lizards I always feed them well before giving to the lizards. Some always die so I let them dry out and my crabs LOVE them.

Young crabs molt More often. My new PP buried itself 1 hour after I bought it. Just came up last night after 5-6 weeks.
