Re: Salt Water
Hi! I always pre-make my salt water and let it sit out at room temperature. A half gallon usually lasts me a couple of weeks for both of my tanks. I'm not sure how long you'll be gone, but your crabs would be fine without a water change for a week (unless it gets really sandy or poopy of course). I ...

Waiting his turn...
Beau always sits on the calcium powder dish when he's waiting his turn for the wheel. There are 2 wheels in the tank, but Beau prefers this one lol.

Re: Large crab down for 4 months
I agree with Curly to wait a bit. My oldest and biggest crab went under at the end of Dec. He usually takes 3 months to resurface. I'm patiently awaiting his arrival at the end of March lol. It's crazy nerve-wracking for sure though. I'm glad he only does it once/year. I will have had him for 13 yea...

Does she retract into h...

Re: Crab has been molting for 4 months
Ok thank you for that. This is one of the two new ones I got so my little one could have friends since his buddy passed. Only other thing I can think of is it escaped before I got the glass top, but I can't imagine that it would survive in the house with no food or humidity. Guess I'll never know u...
