Re: Lethargic/Not Well...

Uhm... help!?!? Lol. I'm likely going to be a bit disorganized with my thoughts right now... planned on updating here sometime this weekend, but current circumstances have unexpectedly changed. Noel remained in iso since my last post with as much monitoring as I could provide using the wyze cam for ...

Re: Lethargic/Not Well...

Only thing I can think of now if he is trying to molt, to get it as dark as you can. Doesn’t the darkness trigger the hormone that starts the process? Maybe a blanket over his iso tank? Just an idea. I’m sorry he isn’t getting any better YET! Keep the faith that he will pull through and just keep d...

Re: Lethargic/Not Well...

You're welcome! Wish I could make the little guy feel better. It sounds like you are doing everything possible to get him well. It's going to be up to him now. How's he doing today? How are you doing today? Taking care of yourself too I hope! [emoji16] Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk Th...

Re: Lethargic/Not Well...

I read through when you initially posted, but I’m not one of the experts on here and would never want to say the wrong thing. The same applies now, but I just wanted to say I think it’s a good thing he’s at least still eating and drinking. Try not to worry too much as it sounds like you’re doing ev...

Re: Lethargic/Not Well...

Sorry to hear your little guy isn't feeling well. I read through your post and your tank conditions sound good. Since you already have him in iso, I'd just keep him there until he starts acting like himself again. Do you have any honey or bee pollen? Maybe they can help give him a boost. I found a ...

Re: Lethargic/Not Well...

Just an update on the little dude... No noticeable change observed. Remains in iso and lethargic, out during the day with limited responses on approach. I had added pieces of boiled egg before initial post and removed that the next day with him just sitting there (after I walked away he slowly moved...

Re: Buried crab- but not in it's shell, do I dig to find it?

Thank you so much for the advice! I just dug a little in areas where I knew the other crabs weren't at. I uncovered the top of a buried shell. I'm thinking that may be our missing Mama crab- I may have miscounted my topside shells and didn't realize I had an extra one in there. I didn't fully dig i...

Re: MOLTING ISSUE?!?

Have mostly been lurking, but the saltwater used is important for molting; specifically in shedding old exo. I do not believe that the saltwater you are using is correct (marine saltwater). Most here, including myself, use 'Instant Ocean' brand. When I initially purchased my first 2 crabs from a boa...

Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

Just to finish up here... my larger crab was STILL going in wheel at bed around 2AM last night. I woke up today to find my smaller crab actually sleeping in the wheel so have no idea what went on after 2AM. All of my four crabs are gone during the day whether in hides in small holes they dug or just...

Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

Sorry... 1 more picture. I set the wyze cam on an upside down trash can temporarily to make sure all is well tonight. I previously setup a smaller sized hamster wheel for the crabs (smaller crabs and thought would fit in smaller tank, but I'm generous with the sub) so I just added that in while I fi...

Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

Yep... I ended up setting it up on floor today... and wow... just finishing up trying not to stress the crabs too much so leaving it as is for now. Will make some changes as I have time. Pic from today posted below. After slowly emptying most out of the 20G long, I finally had just ran out of time a...

Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

Hi! [emoji16] I hope your C-19 results came back negative. Sorry to hear things have been so crazy. [emoji33] You should be fine with the tank on the floor. After I moved, I had my 20 gal on the floor for a bit. The worst thing was having to bend over to change food and water, and to check on the c...

Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

Quick question... with a 55G tank does it need to be on a stand? Didn't quite think about the weight with the 20L on the dresser and I'm not confident it'll hold the 55G. Was going to place 55G on carpeted area a few inches from wall on other side of room, but have been searching this forum nonstop ...

Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

Thank you both for the tips/feedback! Sorry about that ear infection, but could have been much worse; hope that's all cleared up and you are feeling well!! People underestimate mental health in general and completely agree have to take care of yourself body/mind. This year just has been a rough one....
