Don't dig anyone up. Move any that are on the surface and wait for those under ground to come up on their own. Imo, others with more experience may have better advice.

Re: Well... I've got 3 more crabs now.
Have you checked out the care sheet re- numbers of crabs in what size tank, as per their size? I would say you are likely fine until they are all large crabs. It's only recently that people seem to have so few crabs in big tanks. I did, and it suggests 5g per crab, so I think they'll be ok. Especia...

Re: Crab dug up empty shell
I've had a crab go down in one shell and come up in another. My crabbies like to bury shells just for this purpose, I think. I'd wait it out personally, unless you detect an odor that indicates decay.

Well... I've got 3 more crabs now.
Scrolling FB and see a post in a pet rehoming group. They where going to throw Thier crabs in the trash because grandma didn't ask to buy pets for the grandkids. Long story short and a long drive later, I have 3 new crabs I wasn't planning for. No quarantine/acclimation tank. Everyone got a quick di...

It's a 6ft by 21 by 18. I'll look for those 11x35 you suggested. Thanks

125g heating
Scored a 125 with stand tonight, yay! I just have to figure out how to heat it (impulse buy much? Lol). What size uth do yins use? Is there one that's big enough or will it take multiple?
I promise I searched the forum but my google-fu is weak.

Re: My new pets! (Goldfish!)
If you want to cycle faster ask around your local aquarium club, someone will have extra media for super cheap pre seeded. Once I learned that, I always start a new tank with mulm or media from an established tank. Cuts cycling time in half for me, ymmv of course. We have great water for most freshw...

Re: Can't find hermit crab poop
I've had my crabs for almost a year and just started finding poohs. I don't know if it's because they're bigger now and so is their poops. I haven't had any issues like odors, bacterial blooms, mold, etc. Now when I find it I put it in the pools to help with the nitrate cycle. Sent from my LM-K920 u...

Re: Moved - 125g tank with new filtered pools!
Ok, thanks. I didn't realize you could get the uth so large.
I've got my current uth set up on a controller as well. It's great at stabilizing temps.

Re: Moved - 125g tank with new filtered pools!
It looks amazing! What are you using to heat that? I'm thinking about upgrading to that size but worry about being able to heat it properly.

Re: Good idea/bad idea?
These are inspiring. I don't know if the breeder tank has room for a 5g inside it, but next to it..... I'm plotting ideas. Given how I've started acquiring fish/tanks people don't want to take care of any more, what's one more to clean at this point. One piece of advice; never agree to "pet sit" any...
