Re: Crabs MIA for a long time
One of them just came up yesterday, as if it new I was making this post! Sadly the other two have yet to be seen, I am not certain if they have come up in the amount of time that I consider them to be MIA, I just find it concerning that I haven't seen any trace of them in almost seven months.

Crabs MIA for a long time
Hello, Unfortunately it's been several months since I've seen any of my crabs on the surface... they are still small so this well exceeds the amount of time they would take to molt. I've never had a crab die on me before but from what I've been told it's unambiguous when it happens (due to the smell...

Re: Lethargy after molting?
I have noticed them doing a lot of digging lately, so that could be it! I haven't seen any shedded exoskeletons because I've been trying not to disturb them by digging up their substrate. I hope it's either that or they just need time to harden like you suggested. Is there anything I can do to help ...

Re: Lethargy after molting?
Yes, they are fairly new, I've had them for just under two months. This is their first real molt since I've got them, but they were very active before then. My tank conditions are about 75% humidity and 75-78 degrees Fahrenheit. They've been very active in the past so I don't think my tank condition...

Lethargy after molting?
Two of my crabs finally came up and took shells after about a four week molting period, however, since then they have spent most of their time hiding and I think they may have re-buried themselves. Is this normal? Could it be that they are still molting but just came up recently for food/water?

"Teaching" a crab to climb?
Hey all, I'm relatively new to crabbing and about a month ago I purchased three PP's from my local pet store. Two of them took to their new crabitat just fine, and are having a blast climbing on all the different objects I have placed in their enclosure. The third, however, I have never seen anywhere...
