Re: Deep heat projectors
Like radiant heat panels? Those should work so long as the temperature stays within range for them. UVB is based on distance to the bulb. They would be fine with either but if they can climb up close go with the tropical. The are almost like ceramic heater and admit no light. Here is an article abo...

Re: What are halogens?
Halogen is a normal type of bulb( most stores sell), flood lights. If you use one, you want a par 38 as it has a wider spread. I use halogens and deep heat projectors and normal white basking bulbs. I have anoles, 2 bearded dragons and isopods(my master colony is even heated with a 50watt halogen) T...

Re: Need help with new crabitat
It's about a 50 cent piece size, if that big. And he cab have all the isopods it wants, my anole's bioactive has over 1000. That is after I remove the top 2 inches of substrate and replaced with fresh. That seeded a huge bin and I know I am adding about 100 plus a day to it. Thank you for the respon...

Need help with new crabitat
My sister won a hermit crab over the weekend and today we set up a temp enclosure. I had children's play sand and coconut coir as both my bearded dragon and my anoles are bioactive and did the 5 parts sand and one part coconut coir. I lightly sprayed it with my anole's misting water that has liquid ...

Re: UVB light placement
New here but are you using a coil compact or a tube. You could use zipties to place it inside the tank if a tube and uvb doesn't get that hot. That is what many herpers do. They do have sockets that can be installed for coil/compact bulbs.

New Hermit Crab
My sister went to a fall fest and won a hermit crab, she lost one a few years ago at the age of 5. She isn't good on forums and since we live together, I also take care of Lighting(maybe). Both of us have a bearded dragon, I have two anoles and we have a guinea pig( the last of the herd ). BTW my na...
