Ready to adopt! In Buda TX!

Post by clareeduffy » Wed Oct 09, 2024 4:42 pm

BUDA, TX

Hello! I live outside of Austin TX in Buda. My family had hermit crabs growing up and just adopted 3 little hermies a few weeks ago. We have a 40 gallon enclosure which stays around 75 degrees 80-90% humidity. It’s a short wide enclosure, and I’ve been spending way too much time finding them new stuff to climb as they get adjusted. There’s enough room for 1-3 more small to medium hermit crabs, or a 1 large 1 small situation. Both saltwater and freshwater pools.
Not quite sure how to post pictures on here but email me and I’d be happy to send along pictures of everything. I live in Buda Texas and am willing to drive up to 50 miles.

We are so excited to add some new creatures to the family! We have been researching the best fit among reptiles, crustaceons, etc. and think that hermit crabs might be the thing for us! We also have a son who is going to love to have a new friend (through the glass) and are happy to take on the long term care that is needed. We've researched what we need in terms of housing, maintenance, feeding/diet, and everything to make them thrive, and are ready to start building up a happy place for them to call home.
I used to have hermit crabs growing up and I can't wait to have them back in my life!

Looking for 1-2 medium/large hermit crabs!

DALLAS, TX

Hello everyone!

I had 2 large hermit crabs in a 50g tank but sadly one has passed due to molting complications. The remaining hermit crab is lonely and i’m desperately looking to adopt some companions for him.

Once the weather warms up in a few weeks i am willing to pay for overnight shipping to anyone who is comfortable with shipping live animals or driving up to an hour out of my location to pick up a new friend for him.

I am located in DFW (dallas fort worth area). I just hate seeing my crab alone :(

We've got a wonderful community of crabs who are obsessed with apples and they have the biggest enclosure of all of our pets. They're fed fresh fruits and veggies along with hermit crab melody mixes.

Would like to adopt Ecuadorian hermit crabs

Post by Mama_Krab » Mon Jun 02, 2025 8:21 pm

TEXAS

I am looking to Adopt a couple of Ecuadorian hermit crabs. I recently adopted one (Lucky) and have it in my tank with my purple pinchers. I learned that it’s good to have at least two of every breed so if anyone has any Ecuadorian hermit crabs that need a new home, please let me know. I’m happy to send pictures of tank and set up so you can verify they’re going to a good home where they will be loved and taken care of. Thanks!
