Where should I get hermit crabs?

I'm just wondering where the best place would be. I'm not keen on the idea of getting them at petsmart and buying them online seems risky. Where do you guys get yours? Have people had sucsess with buying online?

Sounds like adoption would be a good choice for you! In this way, you won't be supporting the wild harvest of hermit crabs and the subsequent abysmal care they receive on their journey to you.

I made a post here about some methods I used to adopt all my crabs. It took me about 3 months to fill my 55 gallon tank, but it was oh so worth it to me.

You can start by making a post in the adoptions section about seeking crabs, then send a message with your location to the HCA facebook page, if you have a facebook.
