So, I went to pick up a few things to get started on my tat, and of course took a peek into the Hermit Crab tank. I was actually surprised. While the sub is far too shallow, and those sponges gross me out (and I obviously can't tell if both are FW or if there's one of each and it was way too busy to try asking) I'm somewhat impressed with the tank setup for a pet store.

The two stores I'm usually impressed with the tanks are Petsmart and Pet Supplies Plus. The one thing with my petsmart though is mold grows and it's gross. I'm glad to see their tank is as nice as it is :)

It looks pretty nice, for a pet shop tank. Do you know what their temp and humidity were?

Keep in mind that the substrate in a pet store's display tank should not be deep.
Minimum “Safe” Pet Store Conditions:

Substrate Depth – this should be left very shallow at the pet store! A buried molting crab is going to be in danger from both the staff and from other crabs that are going to be arriving at the store hungry. There is no way they would be able to safely stay buried for the months it may take them to finish molting and be safe on the surface again.

Very true, I didn't think about that. Unfortunately I couldn't read the gauge in the back of the tank. One of those ladders for the fish tanks was in front of their tank, so this is really as close as I could get but it looked like there was some condensation around the walls at least.
