HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hi all!

I'm about 6 weeks in to being a HC owner. I have six crabs at the moment and I've just been randomly assigning names and gender. How can I tell which gender my crabbies are?



Their names in order of the pictures are Apollo, Hermes, Ares, Zues, Dionysus, and Artemis. (Having an emergency with Artemis ATM, go check out my post under the emergencies page, THX!)

To find out gender you have to see the underside of the crab. Just looking at them won't tell you their gender. Here's a thread that bests explains how to find their gender

ETA: Just realized part of what I said doesn't make much sense . You do have to look at them, but not in the most typical way, to find their gender :roll:
